No.2 High School Gymnasium Audio Installation Project: Delivering Clear, Powerful Sound for Campus Events
The No.2 High School gymnasium is the school's most important indoor venue, hosting PE classes, sports meets, opening ceremonies, award ceremonies, and cultural performances. To enhance the venue experience, the school commissioned a professional audio system installation. Our company undertook the project, providing full-service delivery from site survey and system design to equipment selection, installation, tuning, and operation training—resulting in a clear, reliable, and easy-to-use professional audio system
Dual suspended line array speaker clusters were adopted. Line arrays offer precise vertical directivity control, focusing acoustic energy onto the audience and court area while effectively reducing unnecessary reflections off the ceiling and rear walls—minimizing reverberant excitation at the source. Suspension heights and tilt angles were determined through acoustic simulation to ensure coverage of every seat while avoiding direct energy impact on the glass curtain walls.

For sound shadow areas beneath the stands and at court edges, distributed delay speakers were installed to ensure even sound pressure levels across the venue and consistent listening for every seat. Dedicated stage monitors at the proscenium provide clear self-monitoring for presenters and performers, avoiding excessive vocal effort caused by inadequate monitoring.
The system is equipped with a digital audio processor featuring three preset modes tailored to the venue's acoustic characteristics. Speech Mode enhances mid-frequency clarity and compresses low-frequency reverberant masking. Music Mode unleashes full-bandwidth dynamics, restoring the low-end impact and high-frequency detail required for performances. Event Mode balances announcement penetration with background music ambience. Operators switch modes via a control panel with one touch—no professional sound engineer required on-site.

Installation was carried out in strict accordance with professional standards. Speaker positions, suspension heights, and angles were determined based on acoustic simulation results. All suspended equipment used professional rigging and safety cables for security. Cables were neatly routed with power and signal separated to prevent interference. After installation, item-by-item tuning was conducted, including SPL testing, frequency response adjustment, and mode presets. Finally, school teachers received operation training to ensure hassle-free daily use.
